Team Profile
Team Principle – Richard Lim
Arguably the most experienced karter in the country, it seemed only natural for Richard Lim to groom world class drivers. The 1985/1986 Malaysian Karting Champion, Richard, or Uncle Richard to many, has won numerous national and international championships as he lead drivers such as his son Aaron (A1 Team Malaysia driver), Melvin Moh (GT Driver), Jazeman Jaafar (GT Driver), Calvin Wong (top national racer), Rio Haryanto (Formula 1 Driver), Bryan Mehta (Asian Karting Champion) and Fahmi Ilyas (Fromula 3 Driver) to name a few.
Team Manager – Aaron Lim
As the son of a race king, it was only natural for Aaron Lim to have an engine for a heart and wires as veins to continue the legacy. He started his motor racing career in national karting championships and in 2004 represented his country at the Asian Karting Championship in Macau, dominating from the outset, claiming a new lap record, and taking victory by over 3 seconds. He moved to the scholarship class of the Formula BMW Asian series in 2005, and, despite a minimal budget and missing four rounds of racing, he notched up five top five finishes and two third place podiums. In 2007 Lim graduated to a limited season in the Formula Renault V6 Asia Series, being on the podium in all the races in which he entered. Aaron then went on to represent Malaysia in A1GP and is currently a works Honda Malaysia Team Driver in the Touring Car Endurance Championship.
